Today Nifty and Sensex

Today, various sectors experienced gains in the Indian markets. The Banking, Financial Services, IT, Pharma, PSU Bank, Private Bank, Consumer Durables, and Oil & Gas stocks recorded an increase ranging from 0.07 to 1.02 percent.

The Nifty, a benchmark index representing the National Stock Exchange (NSE), closed higher than the previous trading day at a value above 18,850 points.

Meanwhile, the Sensex, which reflects the performance of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), closed at 63,523 points. During today’s trading session, the Nifty reached a high of 18,875.90, while the Sensex touched 63,588.31.

Notably, the smallcap and midcap stocks exhibited strength in today’s market. The NSE’s midcap index saw a rise of 0.68 percent, concluding the day at 28,635.61. Similarly, the NSE’s small cap index closed at 32,577.35, reflecting a modest increase of 0.24 percent.

Today, the BSE’s flagship 30-share index, the Sensex, concluded the trading day at a value of 63,523.15. It recorded a gain of 195.45 points or 0.31% compared to the previous session.

On the other hand, the NSE’s 50-share flagship index, the Nifty, closed at 18,856.80, reflecting an increase of 40.10 points or 0.21%.

Across various sectors, including Banking, Financial Services, IT, Pharma, PSU Bank, Private Bank, Consumer Durables, and Oil & Gas, stocks showed gains ranging from 0.07 to 1.02 percent.

The Bank Nifty, which represents the banking sector, closed with a 0.21 percent increase at 43,859.20. Conversely, sectors such as auto, FMCG, metal, realty, and healthcare observed declines during today’s trading session.

During today’s trading session, several leading stocks demonstrated gains. Power Grid, ONGC, Adani Ports, HDFC Bank, HDFC, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, and Hero MotoCorp closed higher, registering increases ranging from 0.87 to 3.78 percent.

However, among the leading stocks, JSW Steel, Hindalco, Divis Labs, M&M, ITC, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, and Apollo Hospitals experienced declines, with decreases ranging from 0.85 to 1.93 percent.

In the midcap segment, Piramal Enterprises, Shriram Finance, JSW Energy, Lupin, and Max Financial closed higher, showcasing gains ranging from 5.40 to 14.23 percent. Conversely, midcap stocks like Polycab, Cummins, AU Small Finance Bank, Bharat Electronics, and Ashok Leyland closed lower, with declines ranging from 1.91 to 2.4 percent.

Within the smallcap stocks category, several companies experienced gains. Allsec Tech, Didevoplastic, Exchanging Solutions, Supreme Petro, and Aether Industries closed higher, recording increases ranging from 10.00 to 14.97 percent. Conversely, among smallcap stocks, Aptus Value, Centrum Electron, Mazgaon Dock, TCPL Packaging, and Home First witnessed declines, with decreases ranging from 5.62 to 9.18 percent.
