Post Office Interest Rates Increased
Small savings schemes Interest rates increased: The government has increased the interest rates of many small savings schemes of the post office.
The increased interest rates will be applicable from January 1, 2023. Now in one scheme the interest will be up to 8 percent.
At the same time, due to the increase in the interest rates of Kisan Vikas Patra, now the money will double soon.

Schemes whose interest rates have increased today
- The interest of Senior Citizen Savings Scheme has been increased from 7.6 per cent to 8.0 per cent.
- The interest of Monthly Income Scheme has been increased from 6.7 per cent to 7.1 per cent.
- The interest on National Savings Certificate has been increased from 6.8 per cent to 7.0 per cent.
- The interest on Kisan Vikas Patra has been increased from 7.0 per cent to 7.2 per cent. Earlier the money in this scheme used to double in 123 months, which will now double in 120 months.
Know how much the post office FD interest has increased
- The interest of 1 year fixed deposit scheme has been increased from 5.5 per cent to 6.6 per cent.
- The interest for the 2-year fixed deposit scheme has been increased from 5.7 per cent to 6.8 per cent.
- The interest for the 3-year fixed deposit scheme has been increased from 5.8 per cent to 6.9 per cent.
- The interest for the 5-year fixed deposit scheme has been increased from 6.7 per cent to 7.0 per cent.
Now know the interest rates of which schemes have not changed
- Savings deposit account interest remained steady at 4.0 per cent.
- The five-year recurring deposit interest remained steady at 5.8 per cent.
- Public Provident Fund Scheme (PPF) interest remained steady at 7.1 per cent.
- The interest of Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme remained constant at 7.6 per cent.
